A great radio that does everything as advertised! The HD radio sounds great and does make a good transition back to FM when the signal is lost. The remote might be too small for some people but I love it and it really comes in handy. Overall good, quality radio

HD radio for under $100? SOLD! And it didn't disappoint once I got it installed and played around with it.
Now, granted, I just installed it today and have spent all of 20 minutes with it, but they were very satisfying minutes. It makes my Impala's factory speakers sound surprisingly decent, and digital radio reception is very good. When it starts to lose digital signal you can hear it transition to analog and back fairly seamlessly. Very easy to set up the clock, radio presets, EQ, etc.
Couple of small gripes:
1) The remote is VERY small. Too small for my giant meat paws, but it's mostly for my wife to use so I'll ignore that. What I don't get is why it's designed to be like a key fob with a hole for a keychain ring. Maybe so you can put some sort of lanyard on it and have something a bit more substantial to hold on to?
2) No direct access buttons for radio presets. You have to cycle through them with up and down buttons, which is fine by me, except that it does 18 presets in a row. I programmed 13 FM presets (isn't HD radio great?) so if I want to go from 13 back to 1 I can't easily hit "up" and roll over straight back to 1.
I'll continue to play with it, and perhaps I'll discover some additional ups and downs on this thing.
